Subject: Request for Pho et al. 2018 visual go/no-go trial data

Dear Pho / Goard / Sur team,

I am curating behavtaskatlas, an open-science atlas of sensory-guided decision-making tasks and reusable behavioral-model fits.

I am mapping visual contrast task variants and would like to include the go/no-go visual discrimination task from:

Pho GN et al. Task-dependent representations of stimulus and choice in mouse parietal cortex. Nature Communications, 2018.

The article data-availability statement says data and custom MATLAB analysis code are available from the corresponding authors upon request. Would you be willing to share analyzed trial-level behavioral data, or point me to a current public location? The fields of interest are mouse/session ids, target/non-target condition, contrast, engaged/passive condition, lick/no-lick response, hit/miss/false-alarm/correct-reject outcome, and event timing.

The goal is to preserve this as an explicit go/no-go contrast variant rather than forcing it into a symmetric wheel or port 2AFC schema. I would also observe any redistribution constraints you specify.

Thank you,
behavtaskatlas curator

## Requested Files

- `Pho2018_trial_level_behavior` (required): Per-trial behavior table or source files with mouse/session ids, target or non-target condition, contrast, engagement/passive block, lick/no-lick response, hit/miss/false-alarm/correct-reject outcome, and timing.
- `Pho2018_custom_MATLAB_analysis_code` (optional): MATLAB scripts needed to reproduce contrast modulation, engagement, and choice-related analyses from the paper.

## Purpose

Recover trial-level go/no-go visual contrast behavior and analysis code so the atlas can represent this boundary variant without collapsing it into symmetric 2AFC wheel or port tasks.

## Blocker

The Nature Communications data-availability statement says the data and custom MATLAB analysis code supporting the findings are available from the corresponding authors upon request, not from a public repository.

## Affected Atlas Records

### Papers

- `paper.pho-2018-task-dependent-parietal` - Pho GN, Goard MJ, Woodson J, Crawford B, Sur M

### Protocols

- `protocol.mouse-visual-contrast-lick-gonogo`

## Provenance Checks

- article data availability: The article states that data and custom MATLAB analysis code supporting the findings are available from the corresponding authors upon request. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-018-05012-y
- public archive check: No public trial-level archive was identified during the visual contrast source-availability pass.

## License And Redistribution Question

Please confirm whether behavtaskatlas may redistribute derived canonical trial tables and aggregate model-fit outputs produced from the shared files. If raw files cannot be redistributed, the atlas can keep them outside git and publish only provenance, field mapping, validation checks, and allowed aggregate summaries.

## Status Handoff

After sending this request, update the source `data_request` record from `ready_to_send` to `requested` and add an event with `event_type: sent`, the send date, actor, and evidence URL/path. Repository validation requires that event before accepting the `requested` status.
