Protocol

Rat auditory clicks nose-poke task

Rats initiate trials and accumulate left and right auditory click evidence before reporting the side with more clicks using nose-poke response ports. Correct choices are rewarded and errors can be followed by timeout or error feedback.

Task structure

Stimulus, choice, feedback, and training as declared in the protocol record.

Stimulus

evidence_schedule
Left and right Poisson click trains unfold over the stimulus period; gamma or related parameters can control evidence statistics.

Trial timing

  1. trial_initiation
    protocol-specific

    Rat initiates the trial.

  2. click_train
    protocol-specific

    Auditory evidence unfolds over time.

  3. response
    response-limited

Rat reports the side with more clicks.

  4. feedback
    outcome-dependent

Expected analyses

  • psychometric curve by click count difference
  • chronometric curve by evidence strength
  • temporal weighting or evidence-kernel analysis
  • accumulation model fit

Interpretive claims
